Will the iPhone 2.0 just be an update you install on your current iPhone?

If so do you have to pay for it? Is there any advantage of buying the iPhone when 2.0 comes out compared to buying it now?

1. Its free for the iphone, costs a little for the ipod touch. You might as well buy the iphone and get the free update in june when it's released.
2. iphone users no charge itouch 20 bucks advantage...U WOULD HAVE AN IPHONE lol 2.0 is actually 1.2 and this update will make the iphone sell like crazy buy one now.
3. It will be a free update for current iphone users and will of course be bundled with iphones manufactured during and after June 2008. By the way, it has some really cool features...check out the link below.
4. just buy it now... the iphone 2.0 software is going to be free of charge... you can download it via the itunes music store (windows) or the software update utility (mac)... for the ipod touch people are saying it will be $20. however, i'm thinking it is going to be more near $50 as the last update (which include mail, weather, stocks, etc.) was $20 & this update is to include much more - so i'm sayign it will cost $50 for ipod touch users. so to answer your question: yes, you will be able to download the iphone 2.0 SU on your current iphone & if purchased after the tentative release date of the 2.0 firmware (late June), you will already have firmware 2.0 installed on your phone.
